CubeCRM and CubeERP are both built by Cube Systems on the same data model. The customers, contacts, companies, quotes and history you build up in CubeCRM are exactly the records CubeERP uses for sales orders, stock allocation, purchasing, production, despatch and invoicing. So if the business reaches the point where the CRM needs to know what is in stock or what an order cost to fulfil, moving up is a change of licence and some configuration - not an export, a migration and a retraining exercise. Most CubeCRM customers will never need it. The ones who do will be glad it is there.

## What syncs

- **Customers, contacts and companies** (Two-way): The same records, not a copy. Nothing to sync because nothing is duplicated.
- **Quotes and history** (Two-way): Quotes, activities, emails and cases carry straight over, and an accepted quote can become a sales order.
- **Users and permissions** (Two-way): Existing users, teams and permissions stay as they are, with new roles added for the operational side.

**Do we need CubeERP to use CubeCRM?**

No. CubeCRM is a complete CRM on its own. CubeERP is there if the business later needs orders, stock and operations in the same system.

**What happens to our CRM data if we upgrade?**

Nothing, which is the point. The same customers, contacts, quotes and history are used by CubeERP.

**Should we start with CubeERP instead?**

If you already know you need orders, stock or production, probably yes - it includes everything in CubeCRM. If your problem today is customers and sales, start with CubeCRM.
