Teams that run on Google Workspace should not have to change how they work to keep a CRM up to date. CubeCRM connects to Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Contacts so that customer emails file themselves, meetings appear on the customer timeline and contacts stay in step with the address book on everybody’s phone. Staff sign in with their Google accounts, and access ends when the Google account is suspended.

## What syncs

- **Gmail** (Into CubeCRM): Emails with known contacts filed against the contact, company and any open deal or case.
- **Google Calendar** (Two-way): Customer meetings shown on the timeline, and meetings booked in CubeCRM added to Google Calendar.
- **Google Contacts** (Two-way): CRM contacts available in Gmail and on phones, kept in step in both directions.
- **Sign-in** (Into CubeCRM): Single sign-on with Google accounts, following your existing user management.

## How it behaves

- **Automatic filing:** Emails matched to customers by address, with no extension to install and no button to press.
- **Private stays private:** Only customer email is filed, internal domains are excluded and individuals can mark messages private.
- **Contacts on every phone:** CRM contacts appear in Google Contacts, so incoming calls show the right name on Android and iPhone.
- **Google sign-in:** One less password, and suspending a Google account removes CRM access immediately.

## Setup

1. Authorise CubeCRM for your Google Workspace domain through Google’s standard consent flow.
2. Agree filing rules for mailboxes, excluded domains and private messages during discovery.
3. Connect users and sync a period of recent history so customer timelines start populated.

## Frequently asked questions

**Does it work with personal Gmail accounts?**

CubeCRM is designed for Google Workspace business accounts, where the domain administrator controls access. Personal Gmail accounts are not supported for business use.

**Do we need a Chrome extension?**

No. Sync runs through Google’s APIs, so it works wherever you use Gmail.

**Can some staff use Google and others Microsoft?**

Yes, if your business runs both. Each user connects the account they use.

**Is there an extra charge?**

No. The Google Workspace integration is part of the platform. You need your own Google Workspace subscription.
