## Frequently asked questions

**Why not send email from CubeCRM directly?**

Individual emails are sent from CubeCRM through your own mailbox. Bulk campaigns need proper deliverability, unsubscribe handling and template design, which Mailchimp does well. Integrating is better for you than a weaker built-in alternative.

**Do we need a Mailchimp subscription?**

Yes. You need your own Mailchimp account. The integration itself is included with CubeCRM.

**Can we use a different email platform?**

Yes, through the REST API and webhooks. Mailchimp is the one we connect to as standard; others can be connected as part of setup.

**How are unsubscribes handled?**

An unsubscribe in Mailchimp updates the contact’s consent in CubeCRM, which removes them from future segments automatically.
