Most sales and service teams live in Outlook, and a CRM that asks them to copy emails across by hand will be abandoned within months. CubeCRM connects to Microsoft 365 so that emails to and from customers file themselves against the right contact and company, meetings booked in Outlook appear on the customer’s timeline, and contacts stay in step between the CRM and the address book on every phone. Staff sign in with their existing Microsoft accounts, so there is one less password and leavers lose access the moment their Microsoft account is disabled.
What moves
Exactly what is synced, and which way
Being specific about this up front avoids the single most common integration disappointment - discovering after switching over that one field never travelled.
- Into CubeCRM
Emails
Emails to and from known contacts filed against the contact, company and any open deal or case. Internal and personal email is left alone.
- Both ways
Calendar
Meetings with customers appear on their timeline, and meetings booked from CubeCRM appear in Outlook.
- Both ways
Contacts
CRM contacts available in Outlook and on phones, with changes in either place kept in step and one system nominated as master per field.
- Into CubeCRM
Sign-in
Single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID accounts, so access follows your existing user management.
How it behaves
The detail that decides whether it is actually useful
Filing without effort
Emails are matched to customers by address automatically. Nobody needs a plug-in or a "log to CRM" button for the history to build.
Privacy respected
Only email with known customer contacts is filed, and individuals can mark messages as private. Rules are agreed during setup.
Meetings on the record
Customer meetings and site visits show on the account without being entered twice.
One sign-in
Microsoft single sign-on means one less password to manage, and disabling a Microsoft account removes CRM access too.
Setting it up
Three steps, done during setup
- 1
Authorise CubeCRM in your Microsoft 365 tenant using Microsoft’s standard consent flow. Access can be revoked from Microsoft at any time.
- 2
Agree the filing rules - which mailboxes, which domains to ignore, how private messages are handled. Usually a short conversation during discovery.
- 3
Connect users and let the sync run back over recent history, so customer timelines are populated from day one.
